QB will not start – “unrecoverable error”

QuickBooks Performance Issues & Program Errors

QB was running OK. I then imported a vendor file from another QB user. After that time, I have been getting an “unrecoverable error” message. The code on the message is 14334 94690. I tried reloading QB but this did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

It seems that your data file is damaged. You may want to attempt opening QuickBooks up while holding the CTRL key down. That should tale you to No Company Open screen. After that let the CTRL key go, select your data file, hold down the ALT key and try to open the company file. If you are able to get into your data file, follow the instructions from here [ http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Pages/KnowledgeBaseArticle/1010273 ]
