I get the message, “Unrecoverable Error – QuickBooks has experienced a problem and must be shut down” virtually every time QB Pro 2008 loads. Based on other’s postings, I choose Rebuild Data every time I’m ready to shut it down, now, but the message keeps recurring. [Of course, this means I back up every time.] Sometimes I get this message 4 or 5 times in a row before it successfully loads. My file size is 38 megs – could that be the cause?

This is scaring me to death – fear of losing my data. What can I do?

    If you are having a problem opening all data files then it is most likely the QuickBooks installation that has been corrupted.Here are some instructions on how to repair your QuickBooks installation –
